Port Admiral Hotel
About Us
The Port Admiral Hotel is Port Adelaide's oldest existing building, established in 1849 on 'Black Diamond Corner.' After being closed for more than ten years, a recent two-year $1 million renovation saw the historic hotel re-open in late 2017. The 200-person capacity building features a front bar, saloon bar, beer garden, outdoor terrace seating and a boutique bottle shop. The hotel's original terrazzo tiling had been retained and features throughout the hotel. Two separate food menus have been created by award-winning Chef Stewart Wesson including an all-day Fish & Chip Shop menu - focusing on fresh, locally caught seafood; and a Lunch & Dinner menu featuring modern Australian pub food cooked out of the open kitchen on the Red Gum wood grill. Nine individual beer taps and a hand pump pour a rotating range of local, interstate and international craft beers including ‘Port Local Lager’ - the house beer brewed by Pirate Life Brewing exclusively for the Port Admiral Hotel. The South Australian-focused wine list showcases a diverse range of wines from smaller producers, and the attached independent bottle shop features more than 200 boutique beers, wines and spirits. Bookings available for groups of six or more people only.
