Bay to Birdwood
About Us
The Bay to Birdwood is a vehicle run held annually that sees historic vehicles travel from West Beach at the 'Bay' to the National Motor Museum in Birdwood. The 2019 Bay to Birdwood will see over 1500 classic and early modern vehicles travelling from Barratt Reserve to the National Motor Museum in Birdwood. The day will start with breakfast from 6:00 am at Barratt Reserve. Anyone is welcome to come along to mingle with vehicle owners and stroll around the rows of beautiful classics. At 8:30 am the Concours d'Elegance and Preservation class vehicles will be waved from the start leading the vehicles towards the city. This year's route runs along Anzac Highway and into the heart of the city, through Victoria Square, then up into the hills via Payneham Road and Lower North East Road. The finish festivities will be hosted by the National Motor Museum. Gates open at 10 am and the vehicles are expected to arrive from 10.15 am. The finish is an event for the whole family, with music entertainment, the fashions in the field competition, local food vendors, children's entertainment, and the judging of the Concours d'Elegance and Preservation class vehicles.
