This Exhibition is part of the Queanbeyan Palerang Heritage Festival. Mill Pond Farm is located at Jembaicumbene, 10kilometres south of the New South Wales Southern Tablelands village of Braidwood. The property has a rich colonial history, and over the past two centuries has produced prize winning wheat, sheep and cattle. Gold was discovered at Jembaicumbene in 1851 and a variety of important historic gold mining sites and 19th century buildings survive within their spectacular natural wetland in the middle Jembaicumbene valley. The Challenges of finding a new uses for the 19th Century buildings at Mill Pond Farm are explored with an exhibition in the Wheatfield Gallery showing progress over the years.
