The Cessnock Performing Arts Centre offers annual performance programs comprising drama, comedy, ballet and live music. They have a solid reputation for presenting high quality performances from both international and interstate touring companies. In addition to this, they have shown themselves as a significant player in audience development and community engagement. The Cessnock Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) complex has the only fully professional 466 seat theatre in the Hunter Region. The comfortable seating is positioned at floor level and ranked to allow for uninterrupted sight lines. Seating on the floor area can be removed to allow for tables and chairs to be set up for dining, cabaret events and conference functions etc. The auditorium is fully accessible for special needs, catering for wheelchairs and hearing impaired.
