Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village has just undergone a major redevelopment, that included interactive digital installations throughout the village, a full upgrade of the ‘Shipwrecked’ Sound and Light Show Experience: the story of the Loch Ard shipwreck told in a completely new way. With engaging story telling, fresh new imagery, dazzling lighting and sound effects through out the village - it’s sure to impress. With the introduction of ‘Harpooned’ a brand new Sound and Light Show Experience to tell the tale of Warrnambool’s Whaling History - a state of the art production like no other. By day, Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village is a maritime village and museum built around 1858 state heritage listed Warrnambool Lighthouse. Holder of Victoria's largest maritime and shipwreck collection its feature pieces are the $4 million Loch Ard Peacock, a priceless relic from the wreck Loch Ard that in 1878 was lost at the now famous Loch Ard Gorge. It offers guided tours once daily, and a Conexu guided tour application for Iphone or Android phones.
