Experience life in the 1800s. Located in the beautiful Kangaroo Valley, The Pioneer Village Museum is situated next to the historic Hampden Bridge and Kangaroo River. Numerous buildings house exhibits from the period donated by descendants of the original settlers of the Valley. Original buildings, beautiful gardens, historic exhibits and photographs, early settlers hut, pioneering farm equipment all demonstrate how early Australian settlers and pioneers lived, worked and played. Take a walk over the historic wooden suspension bridge, into the extensive bushwalking area overlooking the beautiful Kangaroo River, enjoy a picnic lunch or have a barbecue in pleasant surrounds.
