McQuade Park
About Us
McQuade Park was planned by Macquarie in 1810 as the great square that was to stand in front of St Matthews Church and is a lovely large park in historic Windsor featuring a large sporting field with a heritage rotunda, a children’s playground, toilets and picnic shelters. A large pond features at one end of the park and it is a scenic back drop for photos or a pleasant place to see the ducks. For those interested in early European history you will find a large statue of Governor Macquarie. The statue is located directly opposite one of the great early churches and cemeteries in New South Wales – St Matthews Church. The park has ample car parking and disability access.
