The Southern Cross Cinema is located on Main Street right in the heart of Young and has a range of movies showing throughout the week. To view movies and session times please visit the web site or give them a call. Wednesday night is Family Night and Thrifty Thursday’s are also popular as the entry fee for the cinema is reduced for all (excludes school holidays). The Southern Cross Cinema complex is available to hire for private events and fundraisers. During school holidays the complex is a hub of children’s activities including art workshops, free movies and live shows! Tuesday nights throughout school terms the Cinema hosts the Starry Nights alternative film society (more details can be found on the cinema website including term programs and fees) Thursday night is fundraiser night! Please contact the cinema manager to enquire about upcoming fundraisers or booking one for your organisation! The Southern Cross Cinema is a volunteer run organisation owned by the Young District Arts Council.
