About Us

Dr John Ferguson is a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery, the surgical specialty involved with management of diseases, injuries and defects of the mouth, jaws and related structures. He has previously held senior roles at the University of Melbourne and also major hospitals in Melbourne including The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Childrenâ??s Hospital and Royal Dental Hospital. Dr Ferguson undertook his original specialist training in England and subsequently gained extensive experience in New Zealand, Scotland and Australia. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association and the Australian and New Zealand Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Additional academic achievements have included publishing extensively in the biomedical literature, including respected papers on the surgical correction of jaw asymmetry.
