Dr Graeme Hughes
About Us
As one of the most experienced fertility specialists in Australia, and one of the founders of IVFAustralia, Dr Graeme Hughes has spent more than 30 years improving fertility outcomes for his patients. He has a special interest in ovulation stimulation and the treatment of unexplained infertility. As a man of faith, Dr Hughes is particularly respectful of the religious issues surrounding fertility treatment. Dr Hughes' approachable manner and sensitivity puts his patients at ease and he is also able to bring some humour to challenging situations. His key area of expertise is ovulation induction, and he can help some patients avoid more invasive treatment by exploring this option first. However, if IVF offers the best outcome for a patient's needs, his understanding of advanced science ensures he can be with you at every step of this journey. He is a senior lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of New South Wales, and runs the largest ovulation induction clinic in NSW, at The Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney. He is also a senior examiner for the Australian Medical Council, and a visiting medical officer at the Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney and the Prince of Wales Private Hospital in Randwick. Dr Hughes is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a member of the Fertility Society of Australia. He is also the Clinical Director at IVFAustralia Eastern Suburbs (Maroubra).
