About Us

St John of God Murdoch Community Hospice is a short stay facility with the length of stay dependant upon clinical needs. The average length of stay is approximately two weeks with the majority of patients returning to care in their homes. Return to care in the community is fostered by our strong links with community palliative care services which allow for smooth transition from hospice to home. Our inpatient unit admits and treats patients over the age of 16 who require specialist symptom management and/or end of life care. Carers are an important and integral part of the patient's journey and we also provide short-term respite care in order for their carer to take a much needed break.
