About Us

Dr Sean Latouf graduated MBChB from the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 1983. Internal Medicine training was undertaken at the University of Cape Town from 1987, with Fellowship of College of Physicians of South Africa achieved in 1989. Dr. Latouf completed training as a senior Registrar in Cardiology in 1992 before pursuing a two year Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Rochester in New York. Dr. Latouf was Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at the University of Cape Town from 1995 until mid-1998 before commencing Private Practice in Cape Town. Special cardiology interests are interventional Cardiology, heart failure and valvular heart disease. Dr Latouf relocated to Townsville with his wife Deborah, who is from Western Australia in August 2004.
