Jamboree Medical Centre is a group general practice located in Sumner, a western suburb of Brisbane approximately 12 kilometres from the central business district. First established by Dr Carter in October 1969; Drs Arnold and Shirlaw purchased the practice from Dr Carter in July 2005; Dr Carter still works in the practice. Dr Arnold sold her share of the business to Dr Shirlaw in 2010, making Dr Shirlaw the sole principal. The practice consists of six part-time doctors supported by two registered nurses, one practice manager, four receptionists and three junior office clerks. The doctors provide a comprehensive range of family and workplace medical services and have special interests including palliative care, geriatrics, sexual health, mental health, women's health including shared care ante natal, mens health and skin cancer. Drs Luchmaya and Smyth are taking new patients, please call the surgery to make a booking. We are not a bulk billing practice however we do bulk bill pension card holders and health care card holders between 9am - 4pm Mon-Fri and 9am -12noon Saturday and children under 16 years between 9am - 5pm Mon-Fri and 9am -12noon Saturday. Gold card DVA is bulk billed at all times.
