About Us

Avid anglers love fishing in Seaforth and this trail gives an opportunity to catch a variety of fish. You’ll definitely need a boat to complete this fishing adventure. If you're fishing for barramundi, their season closes from midday November 1 to midday February 1. Start in Victoria Creek where you’ll fish for barramundi and salmon along the creek’s edges. Continue casting along the mud-flats until you reach Cluny Creek. The trail then takes you out to a cluster of tropical islands where your starting point is Newry Island. There you can fish, troll or snorkel around the islands. These outer islands are within the Conservation Park (Yellow) Zone which limits anglers to one hand-held rod or one hand-held line per person, with only one hook attached to the line. Please note: you're not guaranteed to catch a fish following this trail alone. Great fishermen know to do their own research beforehand. After a day out, your trip back to the ramp will be memorable. You’ll pass through the tropical paradise of Mausoleum Island, Rocky Island and Acacia Island. These are beautiful islands to look at, however please don't fish around them as they're protected by a Green Zone.
