Adelaide Farmers' Market Showground
About Us
The Adelaide Showground Farmers' Market has been operating since October 2006 and is South Australia's largest farmers' market. It offers more than just a market - it provides an experience for consumers to meet and connect with the growers and producers of South Australian food and produce. More than 5000 visitors each week come to purchase South Australia's fresh local and seasonal food at the market from around 80 stallholders. The market has become a natural part of many weekly schedules where market goers chat with local farmers, buy delicious healthy fruit and vegetables and other great local products. The market is held weekly on Sundays from 9am to 1pm, rain, hail or shine (except during Adelaide Show time) at the Adelaide Showground. An additional weekly Twilight Farmers' Market is held on Thursdays from 3pm to 7pm in the Adelaide suburb of Prospect. The Adelaide Farmers' Markets offer South Australian fresh, seasonal and value-added products direct to the consumer - the food at the market is produced by the people who sell it. This opportunity to purchase from the person who produces the food is what makes a farmers' market so special.
