About Us

Postman's Cottage is a charming heritage-listed, fully self-contained three bedroom home. Originally owned by Colin Ross, the founder and first postman of Inverell, it is one of the town's oldest homes. The cottage is spacious, beautifully renovated, and filled with comfortable furniture and post office memorabilia. Each of the three large bedrooms are fitted with quality linens, fans, heaters, and electric blankets. The sitting room has polished floorboards, plush sofas, fireplace, television with DVD, CD, and a selection of books and DVDs for guests to enjoy. The fully equipped kitchen, with original wood stove mantelpiece and vaulted ceiling, is situated in the original 'cookhouse'. The large bathroom boasts the original claw foot bath and an English antique dresser, filled with quality towels and guest toiletries. The dining area/casual living room overlooks the private paved courtyard through French doors.
