About Us

The Crown and Anchor Inn is a unique Bed and Breakfast steeped in the history of long gone whalers and sea-faring days. The Inn was the earliest substantial building in Eden and first licensed in 1845. It is being carefully restored to recreate an authentic experience of the Colonial, Victorian and Federation periods. The building has been in continual use since it first operated as a Coaching Inn and these distinct periods reflect this use and also the subsequent residential uses leading up to its restoration. The guest areas created within the old Inn are original and display period furnishings with log fires in the wonderfully charming lounge and dining rooms. Guests can view the Pacific Ocean from the Inn's front veranda or relax on the newer back deck overlooking Twofold Bay. Walk to restaurants, beaches, town walks, the Killer Whale Museum and Eden wharf.
