About Us
Beltana Station (incorporating Puttapa Station) covers nearly half a million acres and is a fully working sheep and cattle station. Beltana station was first surveyed in 1854 and has played a part in South Australia's early history. There are three four-wheel drive tracks through the station taking in such sights as Lake Torrens, Mount Deception, Puttapa Springs, Old Beltana town and much more - self-drive or tag-a-long (by appointment). Beltana Station's location means most places in the northern Flinders are accessible for day trips, such as Wilpena Pound, Blinman, Parachilna and Leigh Creek Accommodation consists of historic shearers quarters (circa 1860), which has 11 lockable, comfortable rooms. There is a fully equipped kitchen, large communal dining room and shared bathrooms. If you are caravanning or camping, we offer both powered and unpowered sites. There is also a three bedroom cottage which can sleep up to nine people which is perfect for a weekend away with family or friends. While at Beltana you can also dine at our restaurant/cafe and enjoy our home grown saltbush lamb for dinner or call in for morning tea. We also offer a Sunset Tour which allows you to take in some of our amazing views.
