The Light Horse Hotel is a historic country hotel with a friendly bar, dining room, guest lounge and 12 spacious-fresh guest rooms, with nine opening onto the shady veranda. Three bathrooms and twelve guests rooms have been upgraded upstairs to cater for guests staying in the Hotel. The restoration has showcased the Victorian heritage of the building with the fit out reminiscent of the era but with a contemporary styled edge. Established in 1861, and originally named the Commercial Hotel. It is the only venue in the twin towns of Harden-Murrumburrah offering a dining room and quality accommodation. Renovated in 2018. Staying here, you will be treated as a guest of the family in a grand old country house. The hotel is an ideal base for a relaxing stay to unwind and explore the beautiful, lush rolling countryside and its main attractions. It is a short drive to the orchards at Kingsvale and Wombat, or the towns of Galong, Young, Jugiong, Boorowa, Binalong, Wallendbeen or Cootamundra. Single, twin, double, queen and family rooms available. The hotel sleeps to up to 30 people and is ideal for a memorable but inexpensive family gathering.
