The Lights of Lobethal Christmas Festival has been lighting up the Lobethal Valley in the Adelaide Hills for more than sixty years. Created by the community of Lobethal in the true spirit of Christmas, the event has evolved into the largest Community Christmas Light Display in the Southern Hemisphere. Lobethal lights up on Sunday December 9th, and the Festival continues until Sunday December 30th, 2018 In addition to the attraction of the spectacular light displays, there are numerous fantastic events and attractions for visitors throughout the festive season. Highlights include the annual Christmas Pageant through the town’s main street, the 'Lights On' Ceremony, the Living Nativity preformed each night, stalls, markets and much more! Lobethal is located about 45 minutes east of Adelaide city by car. This is a family event and the area is a dry zone (no alcohol).
