May – UWAI News you should know

China tourists edge out NZ visitors

For the first time, China is now the number one country for travellers to Australia. In the past twelve months to February, 1.39 million Chinese visited. In comparison to last year that was a 13.2% increase, which is double the increase (6.6%) from other visitors!

Chinese holiday-makers are the highest spenders compared to any visiting nationality, spending more the $10 billion annually. This is great news for hotels, restaurants, and retail outlets. It is clearly a great time to get your business listed on UWAI.

Even more Chinese visitors to SA

We all know 56,000 visitors from China visit SA every year, but did you know Singapore visitors have increased the amount of nights they spend in Adelaide by 56% and are spending 18% more when they visit South Australia?

With 76% of the Singapore population speaking Chinese, you don’t want to miss this opportunity with UWAI, your listings are in BOTH Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese which means no matter where Chinese come from, you are covered.
